the hustle and bustle of it all

came back from vietnam on mon. fell sick again. zz. haha. but it was a nice time there despite my tiredness and all.

first day in saigon, we got to eat the nicest pho (pronounced phe, like she2, chinese for snake) of the whole trip (: recommended by the locals. it was superb, and worth the long walk to find it. haha. then di and i went for a manicure. it's really cheap there. my first manicure (: hahah.

day 2 was spent mostly on the bus up to dalat. it's really cold up there cos its perpetually raining and quite windy, but it's a nice place (: had dinner at a restaurant where we ate deer meat! they had other game on the menu too. but we didnt order those. couldnt taste much with my blocked nose. zz

went sightseeing on day 3.we went to crazy house, some waterfall place, a village where they made silk and incense sticks, another waterfall with a cool roller coaster ride down, a monastery, the valley of love, the palace of the ex-king, and a embroidery village. that night the weather was really bad. howling wind and all. rained through the night. yup.

day 4 another long ride back down to saigon. went to ben tanh market. tourist shop kind of place. haha. super crowded. got a bag (: di got lots of souvenirs. and we had dinner at an ostrich restaurant. we unkowingly stepped in and sat down, thinking it sold ordinary food. till the waiter told us that everything on the menu had ostrich meat. haha. so we ate that anw. it tastes kinda like beef.

fifth day we went to the cu chi tunnels (pronounced khoo chee) haha. it's a place where the locals fought against the invading americans. we crawled thru a 30m tunnel. dad di and uncle vic shot some rounds too. heh. saw lots of scary traps and some cool hideouts. after that we visited the reunification palace. really big place. we also saw the notre dame cathedral while they were having service. and the international post office. yup.

me and di went back to get a pedi too. haha. she did a design, but i didnt want one. dinner was at the restaurant next door, where me and di embarassed ourselves. haha there was this FLYING cockroach ard our table. yuck. haha. you can guess what happened.

day 6, di went with daddy to the local fresh produce market. and then they came back, and 3 of us went to ben tanh market again. more for the food this time. got nuts and stuff. yup. then we packed and prepared to go home (:

i quite liked the hol just that the illness dampened it a bit i guess. oh well.

anw, saw quite a number of churches there, and they were pretty big too. i guess it's a sign that God's working (: must pray for their country.

got brahms 4 symphonies yesterday, happy (: it was quite ex. cos it's by berlin philharmonic.

okay study time. while listening to brahms. haha.

yay the week has finally started which means it'll end soon (:

watched a few episodes of this anime that my sis introduced to me. it's really nice, maybe cos it's about music so it really appeals to me. haha. it's called nodame cantabile. and it has got me inspired about my piano playing. hahah.

physics was unpredictable again today. but worse! aye. the rest is really up to God already.

on friday He gave me 2 rainbows! and they were so pretty. but i can't seem to upload the pic to blogger ): oh well. it was nice while it lasted (:

zz, i hate pms. makes me feel so zz, feel like stoning and wasting my time away.

getting bored studying too.

waiting for wed 5pm to come (: a much greater sense of freedom. and then fri, and then tues, and then it's over! haha

im coughing up green muck, nursing an ulcer, facing two (but more like one) more week of A levels, BUT PRAISE GOD (: He is good!

went to ICA early this morning to change my passport photo. and my dad sent me there on his way out. i reached there at 7.10 thinking i'd be the lone kiasu person (even tho it wasnt entirely my choice to be that early) standing there waiting for the doors to open. but surprise surprise, there was already a queue line. my goodness. when the place opened, most of them went to the upper levels, ie other matters not pertaining to spore passports. so let's say they're foreigners and some singaporeans, they have picked up the kiasu culture! okay. this is just what i think la, might not be true. haha.

i badly want A levels to end now ):

sore throat :( woke up with red eyes this morning. so ugly. and was clearing all the green stuff from my nose. yuck. anw. chem today was alright i guess. i hope. haha. thank God for holding my nose in his hands. haha.

thinking day

days when i feel philosophical are interesting. they make one reflect about life, about events, about people. but it can be scary too, to realise something you've never noticed before even though it has always been there.

i bought a book yesterday before joel nah's wedding. 'the memory keeper's daughter'. it's a good read though i haven't finished it. had to tear myself away to return to benzene ring and friends. heh

my head is spinning again. bleah. feels bad. everytime i stand up or sit up from my position it's the rush of blood to the head kind of feeling. zz.
