back from kt!

what a short trip. and less visiting also. but it was alright. pretty normal. somewhat. mm di brought 'the legend' (a korean drama serial) which we finished in our free time. practically hogging the tv. hahah. grandma nagged quite a lot this trip. but i guess it's part and parcel of her love. although i dont entirely agree with the things she says sometimes or the way she thinks but it's kinda difficult to change that cos she can be pretty stubborn. wore my new qipao on the first day (: but didnt get to wear my heels. yeeesh. another time then.

maipo is super funny. cos we played ban luck at her house on the second day after lunch but she only joined the game halfway. so initially we said play till 3. then she wanted to extend the time to 4! my tian. then keep compromising until 3.15. and the phrase 'last 3 games' was said at least 2 or 3 times. hahah.

i should be happily on the way to terengganu in my dad's car now. but no.... i am at home in my room blogging about the crazy queue at the checkpoints.

we woke up at 4am to beat the crowd this morning (usually 4am suffices. like got queue la but dont need to wait too long.) but when we reached woodlands, the queue was so far behind from the immigration area. so we decided to try tuas. and the queue was EVEN LONGER. to the point we cannot see the start of the queue. it was so so so damn long and could tell the queue was not really moving cos there were people who came out of their cars and stood by the roadside to wait. that was at 5.30am.

so we gave up and came back home. i think we're gg to join the queue later. hahah. man. in so many years gg back to msia, this is the first time we've seen such a VERY LONG QUEUE. and to think in the past we always say, omg why the queue so long. hahah. sian.

on a happier note, i finally met hayeeeatoii yesterday (: joy! (: and jiaxin keeps framing me. she says i've changed and become meaner -.- haha

oooh i'm so bored. haha. i made scones today. with liz chay/auntie ann's recipe. which has been stuck to my fridge since A levels and has never been attempted to be made. haha. but it was a good attempt considering that i am using a toaster oven and have no idea what temp the thing is. hahaha.

anw, yesterday went back to the mustafa area to jam in one of the shophouses there. practising for suyin's birthday gig. met rachael the singer and wenyang the pianist. derrick was there too. so 5 of us were squashed into a small little attic room thingy. it was fun (: and they are very musically talented people. i get somewhat stressed during solos. i hate it actually. oh well. it's still fun being able to play with a group, something which i havent done since sec school days. OH SO OLD :S

my goodness. i almost typed 'baked scones this morning' and wanted to start on my whole scone baking process again. hahaha. short term memory.

making 2 more batches of scones for church office people. i keep forgetting to put in the raisins :S to the extent where i took it out of the fridge, put in front of the mixing bowl, then walked away and cut out the scones without mixing the raisins in. yum yum (:

whee went to mustafa today to buy stethoscope. haha. EH dont laugh, mustafa got alot alot of things k... like really alot. yes i met cheryl for breakfast at SB paragon cos she wanted to buy her tumbler. we are such early people. haha. then we went to farrer park to meet ziyan. we were stuck looking at chunky bangles for quite a while. heh. and then came lunch. the highlight of our day. cos of some amazing discoveries we made (about ziyan). met charmaine at somerset and the 4 of us ate at kobayashi hangul.

about ziyan. here are some things she said today:

"isn't fun to be alone?"
"i was so happy when i read that in the bible!" (we were talking about the gift of celibacy when she said this)
"i don't think i'm suitable to get married"

aiyo. haha the 3 of us were so shocked to hear all this things from her.

from today, my camera will be my constant companion till i leave. must take many photos of places and people and stuff. hahaha.

went to gramercy yesterday to buy C and G strings. bought spiricore tungsten. cost a bomb. but the sound is so nice ((: and no more wolfsound. i think (hope). wanted to buy hiscox case but they have no more ): then left with eastman (some made in china & apparently not too lasting) and bam (damn ex but very light). yeeeesh

finally got to work today. it was terrible. 3 partners (incl manager) for monring shift, really can die. esp if manager is out, or if partner go break and got slam. never ending string of tasks to do. i dont like the new arrangement ): oh well.

ack the internet just died on me. and i forgot what else was in my post. hahah. stm. wait lemme think...

oh. watching ponyo tmr with russ. and cny clothes shopping. and cheryl's dance concert. whee (:

i wish money would fall from the sky ): anyone want to buy me a bam cello case? seems like no one stocks hiscox cases anymore! which means i'm left with a very expensive purchase that i must make. sucks :P

went out again today, to vivo and then to gramercy and synwyn.

oh 34 more days to go. literally.

mm i got robbed of my shifts ): 2 out of 3. dunno if it's cos the shifts suay. heh. stupid recession. anw, im a little peeved that i wasnt told the reason directly, had to ask my fellow partners. oh well.

went to do more shopping today. got a lappy case, and many ziplock bags from daiso. and a mantoux test. and a belt. and got my cncc as well. still need to get my cello case and strings. and... cny clothes :S ack. whole day spend money. somemore working less and less ): poorgalz1989.

i cant stop thinking about what i need to pack. what i need to buy. what i need to do when i reach aus. i think it's becoming an obsession! a subconscious one at that. meep.

looking forward to suyin's concert! (: it'll be good exposure, for a good cause as well. i'm starting to get antsy tho. but then again, not like the parts im playing very hard. mmm.

i just read 'the kite runner'. yes, i know very late. but it's a really good read. straightforward yet it really keeps you enrapt in the whole story.

today was another historic day. one of my cousins got married today. she's 2 years younger than my sis, and the first one of our generation on my mum's side to get married (excluding my taiwanese cousins). yeah. was quite a simple wedding lunch but then it dragged really long. till almost 4. endless eating. felt weird, cos i never remembered tess being that much older. i dunno maybe cos she's petite. yup.

im tired :S

been feeling somewhat antisocial and hesitant towards gg to aust. not that im not looking forward to it, but im beginning to create some ideas of my future classmates which i am not liking and what kind of people i'll be spending the next 6 years of my school life with. yeah. then there's all the paperwork that i have yet to settle. dunno. becoming very kanchiong about the preparation :S just being my antisocial self. paceyyy, i miss you ):

work the past 3 days has been enjoyable, distracting to a good extent that i take my mind off the fact that im leaving in slighty more than a month. 3 consecutive morning shifts have led me to know regular customers better. (: saw yanhan today too (: had gail's bday party as well. it was nice, in terms of just having the level together enjoying company. walked the dogs. my hands hurt now cos they are so strong. haha.

2-3 more cello lessons left ): i'll miss having her as my teacher. and tootsie of course (O:

i have 4 painful ulcers in my mouth; i need to do smth about my diet; i need to start packing my room; ugh. bleah.

faith-defining feeling and fact?

i want to tear my hair out now. (no, not really)

mm the past few days have been quite packed. sort of.

wed was nye and me chrystal gloria and cheryl wanted to eat duck but by the time we waited for everyone to arrive, there was no more duck!!! so we went to thai express for dinner. then we went to cheryl's house to stay for the night. my goodness, the marina countdown program was so terrible. it had like a number of suggestive songs (so not suitable for young children). and even the dialogue was :| i dont even know why we continued watching it. hahaha. it was really quite the boring. then we all squeezed into cheryl's room quite comfortably surprisingly. and ya. like that lor. hahaha. the next morning i got up early to leave for work. and the first person i ran into once i stepped out of cheryl's room was uncle alfred. and my hair was obviously in a mess (as per every morning). unglam ): hahaha.

work was very pointless in a sense. cos the store was so empty. maybe half the people were drunk and hungover in bed. ya. it was like a ghost town :S no slams no nothing. we could do everything (bussing, topup stuff, clean glass, sweep, clean fridge, etc etc). everything! and in the end we still ended up with nothing to do, literally standing around the floor. yeeesh.

the night was kinda weird but alright. haha. i dare not type more. haha

fri i did 2nd opener again. thank God i came early. cos mirah was late! haha. and when i went to store it was closed, dayang and other customers were all sitting outside. the moment mirah arrived we had like many drinks and pastries to do :S it was kinda messy. and stock came in the night before so it was very crowded outside the backroom. ya. but the crowd for the day made up for all the emptiness in store yesterday. i was supposed to punch out at 3. i only did so at 4.30 :S so i just went straight to the duck place. and the moment i reached, i ordered from the auntie, ask her to keep for us. we only ate at like near 7 when chrystal arrived on her 156! shiok (: i love the duck there. then cheryl accompanied me to dental cos she was too bored. she chose the colours for my braces. then when i asked her what colours she chose, she say nice colours, but im sure you have used them before. then dr heng ask, is she your friend? and i replied, ya. then he said, are you sure? cos she chose very horrid colours. haha. so mean la. but of course he was just joking. my mouth will be full of rubber bands for the next 2 weeks. i think i might just give up eating solid food :S i can't open my mouth fully. yawning is a chore (not shiok cos cannot open wide wide) haha. ya. and cos of the no of rubber bands it's very tight. hopefully my bite would have improved enough by then, if not i think i'll have to wear thru cny... sad.

anw after that we walked ard heartland mall and then i went to optician to make new specs. my deg never change. hooray (: i was quite surprised cos i thought it got worse. but im not complaining of course. my new specs damn cheap. like 78 bucks for everything. ahha. then we left for the airport, met the guys and went walking around t3 for a while cos we had so much time to spare. we went back to the gift shop where cheryl got the coaster. and deng deng, guess what we found. it was the HANDBAG OF GLORY (literally)! it was white and small. and we made the guys share it for gloria. hahahaha. they were quite willing la. so cute la. pacey you must use it!

after that, we sky trained to t2 and sat at starbucks. it was quite nonsense. chrystal came ard 11 plus. ya. pacey came at 1230. and we spent some time talking to her, giving our 2 gifts, saying our goodbyes. sad ): we wont meet in a year... oh and she cut her hair. damn cool. hahaha. pacey, joel cant comprehend your mind. like how we said you cant multitask, or eat watermelon without choking. he got many questions for you... hahaha.

aye, now to start preparing for my departure soon :S

on a lighter note, store outing to zoo on sunday! (: haha
